We have been retained by our client a leading multi-channel, high service distributor in Singapore to hire a 'Manager Global Product Data' for a permanent position in Bangalore India.
Manager Global Product Data - Bangalore
Job Purpose:- To Manage a Global Product data team consist of Product Engineer and Product Author in India.
- To define, review and recommend SEPO, EMCO and TEPO product classification, technical attributes and web hierarchy for all product in the web.
- To manage all Product Data which include collection of datasheet, technical data collection, and attributes cleanup in the STEP system.
- To work with Supplier management team in USA, Europe and APAC to align on product data feed into the system.
- To Manage STEP, and major system upgrade and to maximise efficiency in the product data processes
- To develop and maximise web sales benefits from the STEP system and data processes
Principal Accountabilities
Management of Product Data Integrity:- Manage a team of product data engineers and Product Authors in India, Bangalore.
- Define, Review and Recommend web hierarchy & product classification code for all product categories
- Define, Review and Recommend mandatory Technical Attributes, LOV and search definitions.
- Define, Review and Recommend templates definitions for product web and catalogue descriptions for all product categories globally
- Responsible for the design and implementation of new methods to automate the collection of technical data for new product from Strategic suppliers.
- Develop web product data process and feeds to drive efficiencies via web channel and increase speed to market.
- Proactively develop appropriate relationship with all Stakeholders.
- Ensure global alignment with USA and APAC offices in any Product data project
- Responsible for all product data flows between STEP, Orbit and web within all region
- Perform pilot test on data prior to release data on the web to ensure minimum impact to SEO/SEM.
- Manage all product data documentation and process flow in line with PF standards, including Project Plans and action logs.
- Liaise with global Product data steering team to ensure alignment and consistency of product data globally
- Liaise with the eCommerce team to ensure product data uploaded in the web are in consistent with the product data under reviewed.
- Work with supplier management team to identify new product information or product change notification from suppliers.
- Work with Regional Tech Support Team on any product data improvement and feedback from customers.
- Responsible for the performance measurement of the product data on the web and under taking annual performance review with the team.
Skills, Know How and Experience:- BSEE degree or equivalent
- 8 � 10 years of component engineering, design or application experience in a specific field of specialization.
- Strong knowledge in one area of semiconductor, Passive, electro-mechanical and connectors product and its related attributes.
- Min 5 years experience in project management and sound knowledge in classifying electronics or electro-mechanical components and management of Product Data.
- Knowledge of HTML, PHP, javascript, MySQL or AJAX.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills and ability to communicate well with Good English.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude & strong work ethics
- Ability to learn new things and take on new responsibilities and challenges
- Strong collaborator & Team player with ability to work in a multi-regional, multi-functional team environment
- Effectively evaluates activities, performance and functions on the basis of accomplishing objectives
