Eligibility:

• Essential Qualification Matriculation with Diploma in Engineering in one of the following discipline (Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgy/Electronics / Chemical / Civil) Age Maximum 28 yrs. as on 01/10/2009

They have to satisfy the relaxed Physical Standard required for the posts. In case, the candidate fails to produce the certificate in the prescribed format issued by Competent Authority, his/ her candidature will not be considered. A copy of the Disability Certificate must be submitted alongwith the application for consideration of their name under PH category.
  
• Upper age limit is further relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates with respect to posts reserved for them. Upper age is relaxable by 10 years for Physically Challenged candidates, Cumulative age relaxation is available for those Physically Challenged candidates, Cumulative age relaxation is avail able for those Physically Challenged candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC category. Age relaxation for ex-serviceman as per Govt. Directives. The OBC candidates who belong to "CREAMY LAYER" are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as "General".

• Candidature of a candidate is liable to be rejected at any state of the recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is not found in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement. Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) is the lead Centre in the area of Liquid Propulsion for Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes. Research and development of Earth Storable and Cryogenic and Semi Cryogenic propulsion and delivery of Engines, Stages, Associated Control Systems and Components for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes of ISRO are the main responsibilities of the Centre with its Units at Valiamala near Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Bangalore in Karnataka and Mahendragiri in Tamilnadu.

The Headquarters located at Valiamala has the responsibilities of R&D in Earth Storable, Cryogenic and Semi Cryogenic Propulsion Systems for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft Propulsion. System design and architecture, Management of system projects, Earth Storable & Cryogenic Engine and Stage Systems and Integration of Launch Vehicle Propulsion Control System packages and Modules are carried out at LPSC, Valiamala. Activities like assembly, integration and testing of Earth Storable, Semi Cryogenic and Cryogenic Liquid Rocket Engines and stages are carried out at LPSC, Mahendragiri. LPSC at Bangalore is responsible for design and realization of Mono propellant thrusters and Components, Launch base support and orbit operation for Spacecrafts etc.
