Assistant Grade III (Technical) (70 posts)
Qualifications: Assistant Grade III (Technical) (Post Code: 53) - Degree in Science preferably in Agriculture.
Selection Process: The selection process consists of written test, group discussion and interview. The venue & schedule of written test will be intimated to individual applicants along with the admit card. The same will also be placed on the FCI’s website http://specialtest.in/fci. The written test will be in English only and in two parts. Part I will consist of 60 multiple choice question of the relevant technical discipline and Part II will consist of 60 multiple choice questions on general aptitude consisting of Reasoning, Data Analysis, Computer Awareness, General Awareness and Current Affairs. On qualifying the Written Test, GD & Interview will be held for short-listed candidates. It is essential to appear in every stage of the selection process.
Test Centres: The list of Test Cities along with Test City Codes is as given below: Bangalore, code: 22, Chennai, code: 26, Hyderabad, code: 31, Thiruvananthapuram, code: 43 Management reserves the right to change or cancel any test centre.
Reservation and Relaxations:- The prescribed qualification, experience and the age limit shall be reckoned as on 01-10-2009. The maximum age limit can be relaxed for 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
- In case of departmental employees, there is no age bar.
- The age limit for PH candidates is relaxed by 10 Years (15 Years for PH candidates belonging to SC/ST and 13 Years for PH candidates belonging to OBC). Original medical certificate of the short listed candidates will be scrutinized / verified at the time of interview.
- Age is additionally relaxed by 5 Years for those applicants who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989. Any applicant intending to avail the relaxation under this category shall have to submit a certificate from a) The District Magistrate Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction she /he had ordinarily resided or (b) any other authority designated on this behalf by the Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir in the effect that She/he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir, during the period from 01.01.80 to 31.12.89.
- The aforesaid reservation is not applicable for OBC candidates falling within the creamy layer.
General Conditions:- All the posts carry IDA pattern pay scales and usual allowances such as CCA/HRA/Leave travel facilities etc. These scales carry DA on percentage basis. Gross emoluments would vary depending upon place of posting. Pay scale is due for revision w.e.f.01.01.2007.

Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) is the lead Centre in the area of Liquid Propulsion for Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes. Research and development of Earth Storable and Cryogenic and Semi Cryogenic propulsion and delivery of Engines, Stages, Associated Control Systems and Components for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes of ISRO are the main responsibilities of the Centre with its Units at Valiamala near Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Bangalore in Karnataka and Mahendragiri in Tamilnadu.
