Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor in all areas of the following Departments

  • Engineering: Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering;
  • Sciences and Humanities: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Liberal Arts (Economics, Psychology, Social Anthropology, Linguistics, English Literature, History)
Minimum Academic Qualification (for all positions)

Assistant Professor (contract): For appointment as Assistant Professor on contractual basis, one should have a fresh Ph.D with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. The contract will be initially for three years. After three years, it will be regularized as Assistant Professor depending upon the performance. Candidates should preferable, be below 35 years of age.

Assistant Professor: For appointment as Assistant Professor, one should have a Ph.D with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years' teaching / research / industrial experience, excluding however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.

Associate Professor: For appointment as Associate Professor, one should have a Ph.D with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six years teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professors, Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer. Professor: For appointment as Professor, one should have a Ph.D with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record and a minimum of ten years experience of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai and IISERs or at an equivalent level in any such other Indian or foreign institution/institutions of comparable standards as may be so decided by the Institute.

Reservations
Reservations will be as per Government of India rules.

Pay Scales:
Assistant Professor (contract): To be appointed in PB-3 (Rs.15,600-39,100) with AGP of Rs. 6,000/- p.m. with seven non-compounded advance increments. After 1 year, the AGP will be Rs.7,000/-

Assistant Professor: To be appointed in PB-3 (Rs.15,600-39,100) with AGP of Rs. 8,000/- p.m. For direct recruits, minimum pay in the Pay Band to be fixed at Rs. 30,000/-

Assistant Professors in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai and IISERs, on completion of three years of service shall move to Pay Band 4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with AGP of Rs. 9,000/- and will, however, continue to be designated as Assistant Professor.

Associate Professor: To be appointed in PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with AGP of Rs. 9,500/- p.m. For direct recruits, minimum pay in the Pay Band to be fixed at Rs. 42,800/-

Professor: To be appointed in PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with AGP of Rs. 10,500/- p.m. For direct recruits, minimum pay in the Pay Band to be fixed at Rs. 48,000/-

Position Title: Data Management Group Head

Job Description:

  • Select, recruit, develop, manage, motivate, coach and appraise the performance of direct reports and ensure high quality performance management across Data Management Group.
  • Establish a partner and customer-orientated Data Management Group.
  • Ensure provision of timely, efficient, high quality Data Management deliverable for clinical projects and trials within the Group.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Group in the management and documentation of databases from clinical trials.
  • Track and assign appropriate resources within the Group in line with Company priorities in order to meet timelines for Data Management deliverables.
  • Provide input to and undertake the implementation and maintenance of global working practices and standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the Data Management organization through his/her global leadership role on the management team.
  • Represent Data Management as well as other EDM partners at the CD&MA operations meetings and provide timely feedback to partners.
  • Lead and support clinical & non-clinical special projects.
  • Support the establishment of training programs (technical and professional skills) for DM staff and ensure staff training is conducted and properly documented.
Minimum requirements:
  • University or college degree in life science, computer science, pharmacy, nursing or equivalent relevant degree.
  • Ideally 8 or more years of experience in drug development with at least 6 years in Data Management activities.
  • At least 3 years line management or project team leadership experience.
  • Fluent English (oral and written).
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills, and ability to evaluate computer systems for Data Management.
  • Excellent understanding of clinical trials methodology, GCP and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, demonstrating initiative and flexibility through effective and innovative leadership ability.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, resource and global project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to operate effectively in an international environment.
  • Ability to mentor, coach within DM and cross functionally, and train internal and external training.
  • Excellent people management skills with positive leadership, innovative, and collaborative behaviors.

LPSC ISRO Technical Assistant, Technician

ISRO IndiaLiquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) is the lead Centre in the area of Liquid Propulsion for Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes. Research and development of Earth Storable and Cryogenic and Semi Cryogenic propulsion and delivery of Engines, Stages, Associated Control Systems and Components for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes of ISRO are the main responsibilities of the Centre with its Units at Valiamala near Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Bangalore in Karnataka and Mahendragiri in Tamilnadu.

The Headquarters located at Valiamala has the responsibilities of R&D in Earth Storable, Cryogenic and Semi Cryogenic Propulsion Systems for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft Propulsion. System design and architecture, Management of system projects, Earth Storable & Cryogenic Engine and Stage Systems and Integration of Launch Vehicle Propulsion Control System packages and Modules are carried out at LPSC, Valiamala. Activities like assembly, integration and testing of Earth Storable, Semi Cryogenic and Cryogenic Liquid Rocket Engines and stages are carried out at LPSC, Mahendragiri. LPSC at Bangalore is responsible for design and realization of Mono propellant thrusters and Components, Launch base support and orbit operation for Spacecrafts etc.

In addition, LPSC has Work Centres at variousplaces to liaise/co-ordinate with the companies/industries participating in the space programme. The following posts are available in the Work Centres. Applications are invited to the posts for posting at different locations.

The details of posts available in each Work Centres are mentioned below. Selected candidates will be posted to any of the Work Centres after a brief period of training at LPSC, Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram.

  • Technical Assistant (Mechanical), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with First Class, LPSC Work Centres at Hyderabad & Coimbatore
  • Technician ‘A’ (Fitter), SSLC/SSC pass + NTC in the relevant discipline, LPSC Work Centres at Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai & Coimbatore
General conditions:
  • The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.
  • Age limit as on 31.10.09 is 35 years, but relaxable by 5 years in the case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates. Ex-servicemen and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) are eligible for upper age relaxation as per Rules.
